Cola Beach Integral Yoga Retreat -South Goa

Overview
Escape winter and join Govindanath for an amazingly transformative yoga and meditation retreat in a resort set right on the sacred Narmada River, in the spiritually charged town of Maheshwar, in Madhya Pradesh.

Enjoy 3 or 6 days of yoga, meditation, delicious and healthy meals, relaxation, meanderings through Maheshwar’s streets, visits to its many ancient forts and temples, riverboat tours and possibly a few massages to top it all nicely.

I promise you that you will return home feeling recharged and ready to take whatever life has in store for you back home.

This will be Govindanath’s 4th visit to Maheshwar; a truly mystical town that naturally captures the imagination and enthralls the heart.

The Practice
Morning Yoga Flow sessions will be somewhat gentle, somewhat dynamic, creative, playful and explorative slowly paced flow asana practice and will all include meditation and pranayama. By cultivating equanimity, steadiness of breath, mindfulness, conscious action all participants will attain levels of organic presence in which everything will delightfully and skillfully be done just as it should. Subjects related to kundalini, the chakras and prana will also be explored during this session.

Evening Yoga Flow sessions will start dynamically to gradually move towards a slower, gentler, more soothing and nurturing practice. Consciously and skillfully riding the breath, we will progress from this deliciously restorative/yin inspired segment of the practice to to subtler states of being, via either Yoga Nidra or meditation.

About Govindanath
Govindanath has been teaching yoga and meditation for 24 years; across the globe, and in 3 languages.

His experience as a yoga enthusiast and as bodyworker/physical therapist, specialized in sports’ rehabilitation allows him to share his passion for yoga with all types of people, regardless of their physical abilities or limitations.

This same experience, combined with his playful nature, grant him a depth of insight that allows him to make the practice organically attainable, and yet challengingly fun for everyone involved. Also, it has been noted that his own addiction to meditation is usually highly contagious.

Extra Curricular Activites
There is plenty of time between yoga sessions to relax in the resort’s grounds, immerse yourself in a book, hang out with new friends, indulge in a massage, explore Maheshwar, or even have a siesta!

We will have one afternoon off yoga to allow for a longer excursion and sightseeing of the surrounding area, with a special visit to a Shiva Temple set in a nearby rural area.
