India Bound

My relationship to yoga is so intricately interwoven with my story of attraction, love and addiction to India that it is difficult to conceptually separate one from the other.

Stretching through twenty-three visits and long stays, over a period of twenty-six years, my story with this country has been richly punctuated with incredibly enriching, awe-inspiring or simply humbling and life-changing experiences, alongside a great deal of yogic exploration and practice.

Starting with equally long periods of study BKS Iyengar, in Pune, and Pattabhi Jois, in Mysore, my following visits to India were less planned, organized and more exploratory in their nature.

Having come out of a six year period strict and heavily packed daily regiments of yoga asana practice, I had become free to travel and explore this country which I was already enamored with through books of Hindu mysticism and spirituality.

From then onwards, almost every northern hemisphere's winter and spring seasons would be spent either in 1) ashrams and sacred sites, or 2) following the spiritually peregrinating footsteps of Yogic saints and masters, through thousands of kilometers, stretched across a world of sacred landscapes of breathtaking beauty, brimming with spiritual vibrancy.

Sharing India as a Guide

If you happen to suffer from a deep yearning to visit India for spiritually related reasons, and feel that you could benefit from the assistance of seasoned guide and travel companion, do not hesitate to contact me by email at kfadali @ gmail . com.

This is a service that is very important and dear to me, as it is part of my karma-balancing personal practice.

Of course, whether it is possible for us to travel together or not, will depend on our individual schedules, and on the preliminary interview that is part of the process of hiring my services as a travel assistant.

Eventually, it is healthy and sound to do what makes us happy, as long as it doesn't cause harm to others -of course.

May your walks, strolls and meanderings be highly inspiring and uplifting.
