Shamanism

Way of the Shaman

As if embodying the living spirit of a primeval collective song that has been echoing from the very womb of humanity, there appears throughout the globe, a trend of spiritual tradition, imbued with an indelible unifying sense of reverence for nature, and awe for the elements, principles and forces that shape and define its cycles, rhythms and patterns.

This resurfacing trend and spiritual tradition, in all its repackaged forms is somewhat known to most of us as Shamanism.

While originally, Shaman was a term that was specifically used for medicine men and women from the Siberian region, it has become the globally used title for all healers operating within, from and through Naturistic holistic and spiritual paradigms.

In fact, as of recently, Shaman has also been used by numerous healers operating from and through offshoot shamanic-like paradigms which could be described as technologically and culturally adapted and integrated for urban lifestyles.

Mainly, Shamans could be described as living bridges between the Spirit and 'Real' world of the manifested flesh.

For most Shamans, the 'Real' world is illusory, whereas the Spirit world is truly real.

As living bridges between Spirit and Manifest, Shamans assist the other members of their community, and therefore their community as a collective in evolving through the infinite continuum of time, in a harmonious way, and flowing 'with the grain', with the larger currents and operating principles by which creation and life happen to be sustained and defined.

Also, by being connected to the Spirit World, or to Source, Shamans are endowed with the ability to assist others in moving from states of 'dis-ease', and imbalance, to greater and holistically anchored states of harmony and health.

Contrarily to conventional therapeutic and medical ways, in order attain such results, Shamans address and assist with the realignment and harmonization of the spiritual root causes of the symptomatic illnesses or imbalances they are called to deal with.

Usually, one doesn't choose to become a Shaman. Rather, it is an inescapable calling, a karmic writ that cannot be avoided.

Furthermore, Shamans must be branded, molded and prepared by life itself. Before being able to assist others, they must have survived and integrated extreme hardships, difficulties and dark nights of the soul. They must have made their peace with their own demons, before being able to handle the demons of others, from a place of peace and clarity.

Finally, Shamans must have developed enough inner-strength and inner-stability to journey through the realm of spirits without being swayed or distracted from their intentions of being agents of harmony and peace, and never of conflict and judgment.

Soulful Shamanism and Karma

From a Karmic perspective, my relationship to Shamanism is directly linked to a number of past lives as an indigenous 'native' American, which I was fortunate to recall with clarity, through most of my life.

These past lives occurred in succession in South America, central and finally North America, and were all defined by struggle, loss of land, loss of natural resources, displacement, humiliation, frustration, poverty, illness, loss of family, tribe member through illness and violence, and finally my own violent death.

From a soul's evolutionary perspective, my current incarnation is one through which I am granted the means and opportunity to experience and express forgiveness towards my people's oppressors, which would finally lead to an integration of, and liberation from the karmic bonds of pain, anger, rage and suffering related to such lives.

This incarnation is also one in which I am granted the means and opportunity to honor the indigenous spiritual heritage that links all these past lives, in which reverence to nature and healing through a connection to the world of Spirit were meant to be intrinsic aspects of my day to day experiences.

Thus, through the honoring of my Shamanic spiritual heritage, in this lifetime, I am granted the opportunity to integrate and free myself from the karmic bonds of shame and humiliation.

Shamanic Sharing and Integrating

Through my personal journey through the realms of Shamanic spirituality I've been gratefully guided to seek, know and welcome Spirit, from a place of empowering authenticity, clarity of intention and inner-stability.

If you feel inspired to find out more about my experience along the Shamanic path, just give me a 'howler' by email at kfadali @ gmail . com.

I am grateful to share that which I've learned, as long as there is an understanding that no two spiritual evolutions are ever the same.

May you be connected to your higher wisdom and intelligence, and as such, be truly empowered.
